Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations
• Maintain and improve month-end close processes and monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with GAAP
• Identify opportunities to leverage automation and AI-enabled tools to reduce manual work and accelerate the close process
• Respond to information requests and assist with the annual financial statement audit
• Analyze financial statements and GL accounts to ensure fluctuations are documented and in line with expectations
• Prepare operational and ad hoc reporting for assigned financial statement areas

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 3-4 years of experience in a public or private accounting mix
• Experience with complex accounting areas such as revenue recognition, inventory, or stock-based compensation
• Ability to read and analyze financial statements and reports
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Comfort working in a fully remote setting

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification
• Experience leveraging automation or AI tools to improve accounting processes
• Public company exposure through audit or industry background
