Senior AI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build frontend interfaces, backend services, APIs, integrations, and data flows for AI capabilities
• Develop agentic AI systems using reasoning, tool use, retrieval, and multi-step workflows
• Build and maintain RAG pipelines, ingestion workflows, and semantic search systems
• Implement evaluation frameworks, automated tests, and quality metrics for AI performance
• Implement guardrails, human-in-the-loop workflows, and observability for production AI
• Contribute to reliable production rollouts, CI/CD workflows, and incident response
• Collaborate with product, clinical, design, and data partners to translate workflows into AI experiences

Requirements

• 2+ years of software engineering experience in production systems
• 1+ year of experience building with LLMs, agentic AI, or production AI systems
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or TypeScript
• Experience with backend services, APIs, and full-stack product features
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks like React, Next.js, or Node.js
• Experience with retrieval, tool use, workflow orchestration, or structured outputs
• Familiarity with agentic frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, CrewAI) or RAG systems and vector databases
• Familiarity with cloud-native development, Kubernetes, or CI/CD workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building AI systems in healthcare or regulated environments
• Familiarity with HIPAA or clinical AI safety standards
• Experience using observability and evaluation methods to improve system reliability
