Senior AI Scientist

At Covera Health, we're on a mission to improve healthcare by making every diagnosis more accurate. Covera combines clinical expertise, advanced AI, and one of the industry's largest radiology quality datasets to help detect disease earlier and improve diagnostic accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Create AI algorithms to reduce misdiagnosis in radiology and improve patient care
• Investigate, develop, and evaluate new AI methods for radiology reports and images
• Drive innovation and publications and represent Covera Health at scientific conferences
• Collaborate with data science, clinical, and engineering teams on the clinical research roadmap
• Mentor junior researchers and drive AI development processes

Requirements

• PhD or MS in computer science, math, physics, or related discipline
• 2+ years of work experience after PhD or 4+ years after MS
• Strong deep learning background with familiarity with state-of-the-art NLP and/or CV techniques
• Applied programming experience in Python and PyTorch
• Experience conducting independent research
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to medical imaging applications of AI
• Experience training at scale with multi-GPU setups and large volumes of data
• Experience with model/data parallelism, model sharding, and mixed-precision training
• Contributions to research communities or journals (NIPS, ICML, ACL, CVPR, MICCAI, etc.)
