Senior Associate Broker

Responsibilities

• Receive, triage, and process new business submissions and remarket assignments
• Prepare accurate submissions and approach appropriate carriers for quotes
• Negotiate pricing and terms with underwriters and communicate details to clients
• Manage the placement process through to bind, including binders and documentation
• Maintain high standards of accuracy across all file documentation and compliance
• Manage an active WIP queue to meet turnaround and cycle-time SLAs
• Develop and maintain working relationships with carrier underwriters
• Coordinate with Brokerage Ops and provide guidance to Junior Brokers

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in wholesale insurance brokerage, commercial lines placement, or E&S underwriting
• Ability to manage high-volume submission queues with accuracy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in agency management systems (e.g., Vertafore) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in E&S or surplus lines placement (casualty, property, or specialty lines)
• Established relationships with wholesale carrier underwriters
• Interest in AI and emerging technology in insurance workflows
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field
