Senior Automation QA Engineer/SDET

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks for platform, API, integration, functional, regression, and end-to-end testing
• Own the regression testing strategy for critical customer-facing workflows
• Establish practical load, performance, and reliability testing practices
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and define release quality gates
• Partner with DevOps on QA environments, automated deployments, and test data
• Use AI tools to accelerate automation development, test design, and defect analysis
• Mentor engineers on test design, automation standards, and quality best practices

Requirements

• 6+ years of QA automation, SDET, or software engineering experience
• Experience building QA processes or automation frameworks from the ground up
• Strong programming ability in Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar
• Hands-on experience with tools like Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Pytest, k6, JMeter, or Locust
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions)
• Comfort working with cloud-hosted SaaS systems, preferably AWS
• Ability to operate independently in a lean or startup environment
