Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain reliable, scalable backend services using AWS and SST
• Develop and maintain GraphQL APIs and application logic in TypeScript
• Lead system design, data modeling, and architectural decisions for long-term maintainability
• Implement robust security, authentication, and data protection protocols
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and design teams to deliver seamless user experiences

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production backend systems
• Proficiency with AWS (DynamoDB, Lambda, S3, AppSync, Cognito, SQS) and SST
• Strong experience with TypeScript and GraphQL APIs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with e-commerce systems and payment processing
• Familiarity with blockchain, cryptocurrency, or digital collectibles
• Experience with OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, or real-time event-driven systems
