Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and ownership of key components within Raya's backend services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX designers and data scientists, to build user-focused solutions
• Navigate the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using agile methodologies and CI/CD practices
• Prioritize top-tier user experiences through data-driven methodologies and feedback loops
• Ensure all technical solutions are scalable, maintainable, and innovative within the Raya ecosystem

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in modern software development
• Mastery of Node.js and TypeScript
• Demonstrated expertise in system design and architecture
• Proven experience scaling backend systems in a startup or fast-moving environment
• Production experience with Apple StoreKit Payments/Subscriptions
• Production experience with Stripe Payments/Subscriptions for B2C products

Preferred Qualifications

• Enthusiasm for new AI tools and frameworks and a willingness to adopt emerging best practices
• A bias toward shipping, rapid iteration, and maximizing team velocity
• Strong ability to identify high-impact tasks that align with overarching company goals
