Senior Backend Engineer, Recommendations

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and ownership of key components within Raya's backend services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX designers and data scientists, to build user-focused solutions
• Navigate the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using agile methodologies and CI/CD practices
• Prioritize top-tier user experiences through data-driven methodologies and feedback loops
• Ensure all technical solutions are scalable, maintainable, and innovative within the tech ecosystem

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in modern software development
• Demonstrated expertise in system design and architecture
• Mastery of Golang
• Proven experience scaling backend systems in a startup or fast-moving environment
• Experience with production recommendation systems or machine learning model deployment/integration
