Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of major team-scoped projects for HR and Payroll products
• Propose and operationalize agentic workflows end-to-end to deliver outcomes faster
• Redesign engineering work with autonomous agents as the default execution layer
• Build reusable agentic workflows and primitives in the codebase
• Provide feedback on code reviews and mentor other engineers
• Debug and solve technical and business issues
• Implement interfaces with performance, accessibility, and API design in mind

Requirements

• Strong engineering fundamentals with a track record of shipping scalable production systems
• Practical experience designing or adopting agentic/automation workflows
• Proficiency with Postgres or similar databases
• Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab, GitHub, or Jenkins
• Strong automation and AI capabilities and AI fluency
• Ability to think in systems and define clear specifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with Docker
• Experience with AWS
• Experience with Nextjs
• Experience with React, Vue, or Angular
