Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and build robust, scalable backend services in Node.js and NestJS (Express)
• Create and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs
• Build for financial correctness including idempotency, reconciliation, and retries
• Model and manage relational data in PostgreSQL
• Make architectural and system-design decisions
• Ensure optimal service performance and own production deployments end-to-end
• Raise the engineering bar through code reviews and technical standards
• Mentor engineers and lead technical discussions

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience
• Solid depth in Node.js and NestJS (Express)
• Proven experience designing and operating RESTful APIs in production
• Advanced knowledge of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
• Experience writing unit and integration tests
• Strong grasp of design principles and architectural patterns
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Pub/Sub
• Experience building in fintech, payments, or credit
• Spanish and English proficiency
