Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build multi-tenant services on public cloud platforms like AWS
• Architect and consume APIs and backend services with an emphasis on automation, testing, and security
• Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance
• Support junior engineering talent with mentorship and technical guidance
• Interact with customers and partners to help them integrate with services
• Scale services to solve Space Communication challenges

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Extensive experience with Python, FastAPI, Postgres, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• In-depth knowledge of at least one commercial cloud platform
• Experience leading the architecture and development of backend services and APIs
• Ability to own technical problems end-to-end
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee to comply with export regulations
