Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop core platform components, services, and shared libraries
• Build foundational infrastructure for product teams
• Develop security-critical services for data protection and encryption
• Design and optimize high-load distributed systems for image and video processing
• Improve performance, scalability, and fault tolerance of platform services
• Shape observability platforms through monitoring, logging, and tracing
• Plan and execute large-scale, zero-downtime data migrations
• Expand multi-region infrastructure for latency and data-residency requirements
• Drive architectural decisions and take ownership of platform initiatives

Requirements

• Strong experience with backend development (Java, databases, distributed systems)
• Proficiency in system design and building scalable solutions
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex tasks
• Understanding of performance, reliability, and backend best practices
• Experience in a product-driven engineering team
• Ability to collaborate across teams on shared codebases
