Senior Backend/Product Engineer (AI Platform)

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend-heavy platform features for our AI cost intelligence platform
• Productionalise AI-enabled capabilities such as anomaly detection, recommendations, and agent-based workflows
• Implement AI thoughtfully across the entire SDLC, including prototyping, testing, and deployment
• Architect backend services that support asynchronous workflows, event-driven pipelines, and AI agents
• Design systems for model evaluation, prompt management, and deterministic fallbacks to ensure production safety
• Collaborate closely with Product leadership to turn vision into shipped, reliable features

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong backend engineering background
• Hands-on experience building and scaling on AWS
• Strong proficiency in Python (Java or C++ are acceptable as secondary languages)
• Demonstrated experience using AI in real production systems with repeatable patterns
• Ability to architect services for complex, asynchronous, and long-running workflows
• Comfort working with high autonomy in an ambiguous, product-led environment
