Job description

Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure revenue opportunities through grants, corporate training, sponsorships, and IP commercialisation
  • Lead the end-to-end deal lifecycle from origination to negotiation and contracting
  • Build and manage a strategic pipeline aligned to Creative Economy priorities
  • Secure partnerships with donors, DFIs, financial institutions, and media companies
  • Position ALX and PRISM as leaders in creative talent development and workforce readiness
  • Manage key partner relationships to ensure delivery excellence and account expansion
  • Collaborate with internal teams to meet commercial and impact objectives
  • Represent ALX across the creative, corporate, and investment ecosystems

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or commercial strategy
  • Proven track record in the creative industries, media, or education sectors
  • Experience driving revenue through grants, sponsorships, and corporate partnerships
  • Strong understanding of the creative economy, IP monetisation, and creator economies
  • Demonstrated ability to close complex, multi-stakeholder deals
  • Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working across regional or global markets

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with DFIs, donors, or impact investment ecosystems
  • Established network in creative industries, media, or financial institutions
  • Experience scaling workforce development or creative enterprise programmes
  • Exposure to content production or IP development
  • Entrepreneurial or venture-building experience
  • High level of AI tool fluency
