Job description
Responsibilities
- Contribute to client-facing incident response engagements from detection to recovery
- Conduct advanced forensic analysis, including malware analysis and reverse engineering
- Lead forensic investigations for small to medium cases like Business Email Compromise and Ransomware
- Identify and explain attack vectors, threat tactics, and attacker techniques
- Convey complex forensic findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Provide mentorship and knowledge sharing to less experienced team members
- Provide after-hours on-call and weekend rotational support as required
- Research latest forensic tools, techniques, and methodologies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Proficiency in digital forensic tools such as ELK, Axiom, Encase, or FTK
- Experience with network analysis and intrusion detection tools
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices
- Proven track record in conducting forensic analysis and managing investigations
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Former professional experience as a Senior Forensic Consultant or Senior Incident Responder
- Experience with open-source forensic tools
