Senior Customer Success Architect

Responsibilities

• Help customers determine their platform or application strategy for transitioning to real-time, event-based business models through remote and onsite workshops, solution investigations, and recommendation documentation.
• Provide software architecture, design, and operations expertise for streaming architectures, including Apache Kafka and complementary systems like Hadoop, Spark, Storm, and databases.
• Build tooling for teams to push technical boundaries and improve delivery quality.
• Test the performance and functionality of new components developed by engineering teams.
• Write or edit documentation, knowledge base articles, reference architectures, and design patterns based on customer experiences.
• Continuously hone your skills, build applications, and try new product features.
• Participate in community and industry events.

Requirements

• Deep experience designing, building, and operating Big Data, stream processing, and enterprise data integration solutions, ideally using Apache Kafka.
• Experience managing multiple B2B infrastructure software development projects focused on expansion, customer satisfaction, feature adoption, and retention.
• Strong Linux operations knowledge (configuration, tuning, troubleshooting on RedHat and Debian-based distributions).
• Cloud experience (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) for high-throughput systems.
• JVM tuning and troubleshooting.
• Experience with distributed systems (Kafka, Hadoop, Cassandra, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex solutions and issues clearly.
• Proven ability to work independently and tackle challenging technical problems.
• Quick learning ability with new technologies.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time for customer engagements.
