Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

Responsibilities

• Secure cloud-based environments by designing and implementing native security solutions
• Drive Continuous RMF practices and automate control implementation
• Automate provisioning and configuration of IT environments
• Implement security measures including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanning
• Secure containerized and large-scale cloud production systems
• Establish and manage identity and access management (ICAM) policies
• Enforce cloud-native security best practices using frameworks like AWS Well-Architected
• Integrate Zero Trust principles and DevSecOps practices into the development lifecycle
• Champion AI-augmented ways of working to accelerate delivery

Requirements

• 6-10 years of experience in cloud/platform operations or related roles
• Active DoD Secret clearance
• Experience securing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab)
• Proficiency in securing AWS GovCloud and Azure GCC High environments
• Expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration security
• Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform
• Subject Matter Expertise in Linux administration and hardening
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Strong understanding of networking (Load Balancers, DNS, SSL, Firewalls)
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Certifications (CKS, RHCE, Linux+, MCSA, AWS, Security+, CISSP, or CCNA)
• Experience with DoD "Software Factory" contexts and Impact Level (IL) requirements
• Direct client engagement experience
