Senior Data Architect/Analytics Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data products, semantic layers, and high-accuracy architectures.
• Translate complex executive business questions (MRR, churn, funnels) into trustworthy, self-serve data products.
• Optimize SQL queries and data models to ensure high-performance BI reporting.
• Build robust data reconciliation processes, schema contracts, and integrity tests to ensure data accuracy.
• Maintain high documentation standards, including column-level data dictionaries and runbooks.
• Take full ownership of data initiatives, from strategic planning to execution and maintenance.

Requirements

• Advanced expertise in Databricks and BigQuery.
• Proven experience working with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Demonstrated experience designing and deploying a semantic layer from scratch in a production environment.
• Expert-level SQL query optimization skills.
• A strong focus on data accuracy, reconciliation, and building automated integrity checks.
• Fluency in English with strong interpersonal communication skills.
• A scalable mindset with the ability to design long-term, maintainable solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience shipping LLM-based agents (e.g., text-to-SQL or semantic-layer-backed Q&A).
• An MBA or 2+ years in a BizOps-adjacent role combined with an engineering background.
• Experience with tool-calling frameworks and guardrails for AI-generated metrics.
