Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build a production-ready market data platform from scratch, delivering working Tardis historical and real-time pipelines within 60 days
• Design idempotent, retryable ETL/ELT pipelines with exactly-once semantics and full CI/CD, Terraform, and secrets management
• Implement comprehensive observability with structured logs, metrics, dashboards, and alerting from day one
• Provide self-service data access for Trading and BI teams via Tableau/Metabase and internal REST APIs
• Develop specialized time-series datasets including USDe backing-asset and delta-neutral opportunity surfaces
• Scale the platform 10x+ through schema evolution, partitioning, and performance tuning while maintaining enterprise-grade governance
• Create architecture documentation, runbooks, and data dictionaries; mentor future junior engineers and analysts

Requirements

• Proven track record of shipping production data systems in weeks, with ability to ruthlessly scope to hit aggressive deadlines
• Prior experience building Tardis historical and real-time pipelines (or equivalent crypto market data feeds)
• Expert-level Python and SQL; deep expertise with time-series databases (TimescaleDB/ClickHouse)
• Fluent in Terraform and AWS/GCP serverless technologies, able to provision full environments in days
• Advanced knowledge of WebSocket clients, message queues, low-latency streaming, GitOps, and observability practices
• Strong understanding of stablecoins, DeFi lending protocols, and opportunity surfaces—or ability to ramp up extremely quickly
