Job description

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage business data pipelines and transform Firefox telemetry data into high-quality, structured datasets
  • Partner with data scientists, product, and marketing teams to develop models and metrics that drive decision-making
  • Act as a guardian of data quality by using observability tools to monitor accuracy and participating in weekly triage rotations
  • Evolve the data platform in collaboration with other engineering teams
  • Maintain data integrity by enforcing data governance and privacy policies across large-scale datasets

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of professional experience in data engineering
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python
  • Experience with data modeling and mapping complex business processes into analytical models
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including building modular and reusable code
  • Experience with cloud distributed systems, specifically GCP (including distributed databases, message queues, or batch/stream processing)
  • Ability to work independently, taking high-level goals and turning them into actionable plans
