Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own the design, development, and iteration of complex data systems from ingestion through transformation and modeling
• Perform exploratory analysis and hypothesis-driven investigations to surface insights
• Leverage modern AI and LLM-powered tools to accelerate data transformation and analysis
• Develop and evolve well-modeled datasets, complex transformations, and metrics
• Design and implement data quality checks, monitoring, and observability
• Partner with stakeholders across the company to define success criteria and deliver data products

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience building data systems, pipelines, and analytical datasets
• Strong experience designing and operating end-to-end data workflows
• Proven ability to work with complex, messy, and evolving data sources
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience leveraging modern AI and LLM-powered tools for data engineering
• Strong problem-solving mindset for ambiguous, fast-paced environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with complex healthcare datasets (patient care, operations, billing)
• Hands-on experience with dbt and Metabase
• Experience working in AWS (S3, Athena, RDS, Redshift, Glue, etc.)
• Experience with relational databases and warehouses (PostgreSQL, Snowflake, BigQuery)
• Experience building internal or client-facing analytics products
