Job description

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end data lifecycle from ingestion into BigQuery to final analysis in Hex.
  • Design and operate scalable pipelines using Airflow (Cloud Composer), Dataflow, and Python.
  • Model data using dbt to ensure reliability and cost-efficiency as data volumes scale.
  • Partner with growth, finance, and product teams to translate business questions into trustworthy models.
  • Manage data infrastructure as code using Pulumi or similar tools.
  • Leverage modern AI tooling and LLMs to accelerate development while maintaining high standards of correctness.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building and operating production data pipelines and warehouses.
  • Deep expertise with GCP, BigQuery, dbt, and Airflow.
  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to perform both engineering and deep data analysis.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (Pulumi or Terraform).
  • Proficiency in using AI tools to enhance engineering workflows.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
