Senior Data Scientist II - Personalization

Responsibilities

• Own hyper-personalization use cases across Food, Quik, and Shops to design real-time intent-based systems
• Act as a technical lead for graph-based retrieval methods and knowledge graph pipelines
• Design and evaluate transformer-based architectures for sequential and contextual recommendation
• Push toward online/streaming learning systems that adapt to user behavior within a session
• Build and deploy retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems and LLM applications
• Drive exploratory analysis to understand user behavior and identify growth levers
• Design and run randomized controlled experiments (A/B tests) and communicate findings
• Implement scalable machine learning algorithms in production on large-scale data

Requirements

• 6-8 years of experience in data mining, predictive modeling, and machine learning
• 2-4 years of industry experience in personalization, recommendation, or search
• Advanced degree in Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science
• Solid experience with deep learning, attention mechanisms, and transformer architectures
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, and Hive
• Experience with database technologies like Hadoop, BigQuery, or Amazon EMR
• Strong knowledge of A/B testing methodology and end-to-end recommendation systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with knowledge graphs or graph neural networks
• Familiarity with online/streaming learning systems
• Experience with business intelligence tools like Tableau or MicroStrategy
• Geospatial data processing skills
