About the Company
Optimum is building the world's first data acceleration network for any blockchain. Powered by Random Linear Network Coding (RLNC), Optimum scales network speed, robustness and throughput by orders of magnitude.
Responsibilities
- Own empirical research into MEV, block building, orderflow, and validator behavior
- Design and evaluate experiments and causal analyses for latency-sensitive blockchain systems
- Partner with Product, Economics, and Engineering to turn research into product direction
Requirements
- 5+ years in quantitative research, blockchain research, or data science
- Strong expertise in Ethereum or major L1/L2 ecosystems and MEV
- Fluency in Python and SQL
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior work in a research organization, protocol team, or crypto trading firm
- Familiarity with networking concepts and latency measurement
- Experience in early-stage companies
