Senior DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain secure, automated workflows for building, testing, scanning, packaging, releasing, and deploying software
• Create and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or comparable tools
• Containerize applications and support deployment to AWS and Kubernetes-based environments (EKS, ECS)
• Build and improve observability using Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and related tools
• Establish workload-level cost and utilization visibility using OpenCost, Kubecost, or AWS Cost Explorer
• Implement cost-efficiency improvements including workload right-sizing and autoscaling tuning
• Partner with AI/ML teams to improve utilization of GPU-aware workloads and model-service observability
• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code and GitOps workflows using Terraform, Helm, Argo CD, or Flux
• Implement technical controls supporting NIST 800-171, CMMC, FedRAMP, and DoD requirements

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience in software engineering, DevSecOps, platform engineering, or SRE
• Experience delivering production software in a DoD, government, or highly regulated environment
• Active Secret security clearance or higher
• Hands-on experience with AWS or other major public clouds
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS, or ECS)
• Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Bash, or Go
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or Pulumi)
• Experience with GitOps tools like Argo CD or Flux
• Experience with cloud financial management (FinOps) and cost optimization
• Experience operating AI/ML infrastructure and GPU-backed workloads
• Familiarity with service-mesh technologies like Istio or Linkerd
• AWS or Kubernetes certifications
