Senior DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines, leading the migration from GitLab CI to GitHub Actions
• Operate and harden EKS clusters, including upgrades, networking, and autoscaling
• Manage RDS/Aurora Postgres fleet, including performance tuning and replication
• Operate Kafka platform via Strimzi and Debezium-based CDC pipelines
• Provision and operate data lake infrastructure using Apache Iceberg, S3, Snowflake, and dbt
• Extend infrastructure-as-code using Terraform
• Implement security practices including secrets management, IAM, and network segmentation
• Support SOC 2 compliance through infrastructure controls and audit logging
• Drive cost efficiency across the AWS footprint

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience operating production infrastructure on AWS
• Deep practical experience with Kubernetes (ideally EKS)
• Strong production experience with RDS/Aurora Postgres
• Proficiency with CI/CD tooling and migrating pipeline environments
• Fluency with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Practical familiarity with security frameworks like OWASP and least-privilege IAM
• Experience supporting SOC 2 or ISO 27001 compliance
• Experience with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake or Apache Iceberg
• Strong Linux fundamentals and scripting skills in Bash, Go, or Python
