Senior Director Compliance and Privacy

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor compliance requirements across all Stellar Health entities, including SaaS and ACO business lines
• Lead pre-contract compliance reviews for new payor and provider agreements
• Own the compliance response process for payor audits, HIPAA OCR inquiries, and government enforcement activity
• Execute annual risk assessments and develop compliance work plans
• Maintain an inventory of applicable regulations including AKS, Stark Law, HIPAA, and CMS requirements
• Establish communication channels to promote a speak-up culture and manage anonymous reporting
• Oversee investigations, mitigation activities, and compliance documentation
• Build compliance monitoring strategies to detect anomalous user activity on the Stellar platform
• Chair the Customer Compliance Council and the Compliance and Privacy Committee
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including outside counsel and regulatory bodies

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in healthcare compliance and privacy
• 3+ years of people management experience
• Hands-on experience with Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, and HIPAA
• Experience managing compliance across multiple legal entities
• Direct experience with Medicare Advantage health plans, ACOs, or value-based care organizations
• Experience responding to government inquiries (DOJ, OIG, state AG, or OCR)
• Experience with payor or health plan compliance audit processes
• Familiarity with risk adjustment programs and HCC coding compliance
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in business or healthcare
