Responsibilities

  • Implement government access strategy across Medicaid fee-for-service, Medicaid managed care, and priority public payer channels
  • Develop account plans addressing state review timelines, policy requirements, coverage pathways, and reimbursement considerations
  • Build relationships with state Medicaid agencies, MCOs, pharmacy/medical policy leaders, and public payer stakeholders
  • Identify and address access barriers including policy criteria, utilization management, and reimbursement
  • Partner with Government Affairs to monitor federal and state policy developments
  • Support Kaiser Permanente and similar integrated payer-provider planning as assigned
  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal/Compliance, HEOR, and Medical Affairs on launch readiness
  • Generate customer insights and market intelligence to inform leadership decision-making
  • Operate as a player/coach by supporting account planning and directly engaging priority accounts

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 10 years in government/public payer market access (Medicaid, Medicare, or state health programs)
  • Expertise navigating state-level policy, legislative, and regulatory processes for drug access
  • Experience with Medicaid PDLs, supplemental rebates, and state P&T or DUR processes
  • Proven track record contributing account-level insights to market access planning
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements including anti-kickback statute and False Claims Act
  • People/team leadership experience
  • Willingness to travel 50%+

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing relationships with state Medicaid directors or MCO leadership
  • Experience with Kaiser Permanente or similar integrated payer-provider organizations
