Senior Director of Claims Operations

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale a multidisciplinary Claims Operations team spanning adjudication, quality, and clinical functions
• Foster a culture of metrics-driven continuous improvement and accountability
• Identify and lead automation initiatives to increase auto-adjudication rates and reduce processing time
• Partner with Product and Engineering to shape the claims technology roadmap
• Align claims operations with broader business objectives including growth and sustainable MLR
• Drive payment accuracy, fraud prevention, and claims spend optimization
• Mitigate operational and regulatory risk while maintaining healthcare compliance
• Own budget development and resource allocation

Requirements

• 15+ years of operations experience
• 5+ years of experience in healthcare
• 8+ years in senior leadership roles managing large teams
• Strong financial acumen including budget and headcount planning
• Proven ability to deploy AI or automation in complex operations environments
• Experience with data-driven decision making and operational dashboards

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a high-growth, tech-enabled health insurance or benefits company
