Senior Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Own outcomes across multiple teams or workstreams, ensuring the health, delivery, and strategic direction of your full domain.
• Develop other managers and senior engineers through substantive 1:1s, succession planning, and leadership exposure.
• Define the architectural strategy and technical roadmap for your domain, identifying systemic risks and making critical trade-offs.
• Drive cross-functional alignment by managing dependencies and communicating roadmap priorities to engineering leadership and stakeholders.
• Proactively manage headcount planning, budget, and operational health with a high degree of autonomy.

Requirements

• 5-7+ years of engineering management experience, including at least 2 years managing multiple teams, a large team, or a functional domain.
• Direct ownership of performance management, career development, and hiring processes.
• Proven technical depth in either Cloud Platform Engineering (AWS, Kubernetes, SRE) or Security & IT (AppSec, Compliance, GRC).
• Strong cross-functional communication skills with the ability to translate technical constraints into business context for executive leadership.
• Experience navigating ambiguity and making decisive actions in high-growth, remote environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a high-growth B2B SaaS or API-first company.
• Familiarity with fraud detection, identity, or trust and safety domains.
• For Cloud Platform: Expertise in Terraform, GitOps, and managing large-scale cloud budgets (FinOps).
• For Security & IT: Experience leading SOC 2 audit cycles and managing identity/access management (Okta) at scale.
