Senior Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the team owning the messaging backbone, including Flow Builder and the campaign send engine
• Drive reliability, throughput, and cost efficiency for high-volume production systems
• Manage the Messaging Platform as an internal product, setting contracts and prioritization for consumer teams
• Own the team's on-call rotation, incident response, and blameless postmortems
• Perform people management duties including 1:1s, performance reviews, and professional development
• Partner with Staff Engineers to develop technical roadmaps and scale the platform
• Recruit, hire, and onboard new engineers to the team

Requirements

• 4+ years of engineering leadership experience managing engineers and developing top performers
• Experience leading teams that own high-volume, business-critical distributed systems
• Experience running internal platforms that other engineering teams depend on
• Proven track record in recruiting and onboarding engineers
• Experience in high-growth SaaS environments
• Experience with observability systems including alerting, logging, and monitoring
• Ability to support frontend engineering surfaces even with a backend focus

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with martech SaaS or ecommerce
• Exposure to AI technologies (predictive and generative)
• Experience with deeply embedded integrations with ecommerce platforms or carriers

Benefits

• Base salary of $236,000-$268,000 plus significant equity
