Job Description
Responsibilities
- Plan, manage and operate weddings, outside catering, MICE events and consumer fairs assigned
- Act as principal interface between clients and DWTC internal departments and contractors
- Take detailed event handover from sales and prepare EBMS Event Plans
- Establish timelines, reserve locations, acquire permits and coordinate catering, transport and equipment
- Maintain client relationships and act as main point of contact throughout event lifecycle
- Monitor service provider performance and handle client queries and complaints
- Ensure compliance with DWTC policies, Health & Safety, food hygiene and legal requirements
- Forecast service delivery costs, maintain event budgets and identify up‑sell opportunities
- Reconcile event service orders and support financial closure and invoicing
- Produce management information and report key event indicators
- Conduct presentations and site tours to support the sales process
- Work a mix of office (approx. 50%), onsite and offsite duties including evenings, weekends and public holidays
Requirements
- University degree (Events or Hospitality Management preferred)
- Minimum 3 years' experience in event management (hospitality focus)
- Fluent English (verbal and written)
- Fluent Arabic (verbal and written)
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and email
- Experience with EBMS or similar event management systems
- Knowledge of Health & Safety standards and IOSH principles
- Ability to produce reports and event documentation
- Familiarity with AutoCAD for floor plans and layouts
- Strong client service, communication and organisational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Trainings in project management, presentation and time management
- Previous experience delivering weddings, catering operations or MICE events
- Demonstrable market intelligence and sector awareness
- Experience working with external agencies (Police, DTCM, transport providers)
