Senior Financial Analyst

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning for Communications and other functional teams
• Develop and maintain financial models to surface trends, risks, and opportunities
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports including variance analysis and KPIs
• Present financial insights and recommendations directly to leadership and stakeholders
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to guide planning cycles and resourcing decisions
• Identify and implement improvements in financial planning, reporting, and tracking processes
• Support strategic projects such as global fundraising campaign budget models

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in financial analysis and planning
• Direct experience in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and modern financial modeling and data visualization tools
• Ability to translate complex financial data for non-finance stakeholders
• Ability to work independently in a remote, multicultural, and distributed team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven environment
• Hands-on experience with Workday Adaptive Planning
• Experience in global nonprofit finance, grant management, or international financial operations
• Connection to open-web or free knowledge communities
