Senior FreeCAD Engineer

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and validate detailed parametric CAD models in FreeCAD
• Develop and optimize mechanical assemblies using best practices
• Apply GD&T and DFM principles to ensure manufacturability
• Generate precise technical drawings and documentation
• Conduct engineering QA reviews of CAD models and drawings
• Utilize Python scripting for CAD automation tasks
• Provide feedback on model accuracy and design intent

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in mechanical, product, or industrial engineering
• Advanced proficiency in FreeCAD or equivalent parametric CAD platforms
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and DFM best practices
• Ability to produce comprehensive technical documentation for manufacturing
• Experience conducting engineering QA and verifying model integrity
• Excellent analytical and communication skills for remote collaboration
