Senior Frontend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead frontend engineering and own major product surfaces in umbrelOS (web UI), first-party apps, and the company website
• Ship polished, accessible interfaces using React and TypeScript
• Implement high-quality UI details including empty states, error handling, skeletons, and loading strategies
• Use motion and transitions to communicate application state effectively
• Design and maintain scalable systems including API design, theming, and responsive components
• Partner closely with design to prototype and refine spacing, typography, and easing
• Take vague problems from design documents to code prototypes and final production shipping

Requirements

• Expert proficiency in React and TypeScript
• Experience with Tailwind CSS, Shadcn, and Radix
• Strong ability to translate Figma designs into high-fidelity code
• Experience with motion design and meaningful transitions
• Ability to write clear, readable, and tested code
• Strong product judgment and ability to work in an async-first environment
• Excellent written communication skills
