Senior Full Stack AI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead AI projects from ideation through architecture, production, and iteration
• Design, build, and deploy end-to-end AI systems using traditional ML and LLM-based workflows
• Partner with stakeholders to define success criteria and deliver practical AI solutions
• Implement evaluation, monitoring, and observability metrics including accuracy, cost, and latency
• Build guardrails around LLM pipelines using validation and human-in-the-loop workflows
• Develop rapid proofs-of-concept and prototypes to be hardened into reliable systems
• Help grow and lead the AI team through training and development of junior members

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience building AI/ML systems in industry or academia
• Strong experience with LLM-based systems including RAG, prompting, and multi-step workflows
• Solid understanding of AI evaluation and measurement (offline metrics, online monitoring)
• Strong software engineering fundamentals for shipping production-grade systems
• Proficiency in Python (>3.9)
• Knowledge of Docker basics
• Familiarity with AWS (S3, RDS, EC2)
• Ability to translate complex AI concepts for non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building internal AI tools or platforms used across business functions
• Experience designing evaluation harnesses (golden datasets, regression tests)
• Experience with FastAPI, Streamlit, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, or PostgreSQL
• Experience with retrieval systems, vector search, and hybrid search
• Experience building healthcare software or data processing pipelines
