Senior Full Stack Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build full-stack features using React/TypeScript on the client and Django/REST services on the server
• Own outcomes by refining scope, suggesting trade-offs, and proposing simpler approaches
• Design clean API contracts, evolve schemas, and improve performance through query tuning and caching
• Partner with Product and Design from discovery to delivery to shape scope and milestones
• Maintain accessible, responsive UIs with solid error-handling and failure-mode UX
• Raise engineering standards regarding testing, code quality, and observability
• Investigate production issues with the Support team to reduce UX papercuts
• Engage with the open-source community to understand real-world needs
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and mentor teammates

Requirements

• Senior-level experience shipping production full-stack features
• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, Python, Django, and SQL
• Strong product sense and experience making scope/trade-off decisions
• Fluency with modern frontend tooling like Vite, Webpack, Jest, or Cypress
• Backend depth in REST API design, relational modeling, and background job patterns
• Excellent communication skills for writing RFCs/PRDs and providing actionable code reviews

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with GraphQL
• Experience with Kafka, queues, or streaming
• Experience with Spark or BigQuery
• Knowledge of auth/RBAC and multi-tenant SaaS
• Experience with design systems
