Senior Full-stack Engineer

South Geeks connects top LATAM engineering talent with innovative companies building impactful products worldwide. Our client is a health tech startup redefining medical device innovation with an AI platform that automates research, documentation, and workflows end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Build new features and enhance existing ones across backend and frontend
• Collaborate daily with the product team to scope work and demo progress end-of-day
• Contribute to architectural and design decisions
• Resolve customer-reported bugs tracked in GitHub
• Help evolve the AI/LLM and knowledge-graph capabilities powering the platform

Requirements

• 6 to 10 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
• React on the frontend
• Neo4j (graph database) experience
• GraphQL
• Production-level AI/LLM integration experience
• Experience working with or building MCP servers
• 100% Eastern Time overlap during business hours
• Excellent written and spoken English

Preferred Qualifications

• FastAPI or similar Python web frameworks
• Experience in regulated domains (medical device, pharma, health-tech, life sciences)
• Familiarity with vector databases, RAG, or agentic AI patterns
• Exposure to customer onboarding or document/workflow automation products
