Senior Historical Researcher

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute specialized historical research and field studies related to heritage buildings in Dubai
• Define research frameworks, methodologies, and data collection approaches for heritage studies
• Conduct field surveys and on-site historical assessments of heritage buildings
• Perform interviews with local residents and elderly community members to capture cultural and social insights
• Coordinate with government entities, museums, and libraries to obtain archival materials
• Prepare detailed research reports, findings, and recommendations for management
• Maintain and archive research documentation, including audio files, written materials, and photographs
• Contribute to cultural programs, publications, and public awareness initiatives regarding historical sites

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in History
• 4–6 years of relevant experience for UAE Nationals
• 9–12 years of relevant experience for Expatriates
• Proficiency in field survey methodologies
• Strong skills in data analysis and reporting
• Expertise in archival and records management
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment (40%–60% field work)
