About the Company
Unstructured is defining the standard for enterprise data transformation in the age of LLMs and generative AI. We power production AI workflows across commercial and federal sectors, transforming various document types into AI-ready data pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the employee lifecycle in the PEO (Justworks), including onboarding, offboarding, and status changes
- Own compliance calendars, state registrations, and policy updates
- Administer and audit benefit programs and serve as the primary liaison to brokers
- Support offer letter creation and compensation benchmarking using Pave
- Handle day-to-day employee relations issues, including PIPs, accommodations, and conflict resolution
- Draft and manage separation agreements and partner with legal counsel on pre-litigation matters
- Support managers through performance cycles and calibrations
- Own HRIS data integrity and HR reporting cadence
Requirements
- 5–8 years of HR generalist experience
- At least 2 years of experience at a startup or high-growth tech company
- Hands-on experience with a PEO environment (Justworks, Rippling, or equivalent)
- Solid grounding in US employment law and multi-state complexity
- Excellent written communication skills
- High degree of discretion and emotional intelligence
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting pre-litigation HR matters or working with employment attorneys
- Comfort using AI tools like Claude to accelerate workflows
- Experience with light automation (Google Apps Script, Zapier)
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification
