Senior Implementation and Field Consultant

Responsibilities

• Pressure-test implementers by co-leading screening calls with senior leaders of livelihoods organizations
• Ensure efficient and effective field visits through thorough preparation and tool development
• Write operational read-ups covering budget, scale, growth trajectory, and key risks
• Set up sector conversations with implementers, funders, and field experts
• Conduct field visits to walk through operations and compare delivery models against scaling claims
• Contribute to fund design, including allocations, deployment pace, and grant sizes
• Draft implementation sections of decision memos regarding delivery models and operational capacity

Requirements

• 8-15+ years of experience working with NGOs, philanthropy, or implementing organizations in low- and middle-income countries
• Proven experience in program management, field operations, or implementation
• Experience working with on-the-ground NGO teams, ideally in Sub-Saharan Africa and/or South Asia
• Strong relationship management skills to build rapport with NGO leaders and staff
• Expertise in planning and executing multi-country field visits end-to-end
• Ability to translate site visits into clear, structured operational assessments
• Comfort with travel (up to 40%) and working within the ambiguity of early-stage scoping
