Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Produce fully functional mobile applications writing clean code
  • Gather specific requirements and suggest solutions
  • Write unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions
  • Troubleshoot and debug to optimize performance
  • Liaise with Product development team to plan new features
  • Ensure new and legacy applications meet quality standards
  • Research and suggest new mobile products, applications and protocols
  • Stay up-to-date with new technology trends
  • Design and build advanced applications for the iOS platform
  • Contribute and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design, and ship new features
  • Recommend software upgrades for our project and systems if necessary, and analyze software requirements and user needs to determine whether the system design is feasible
  • Contribute to all stages in the product life cycle: design, implementation, testing, deployment and maintenance
  • Teamwork with other developers to integrate the mobile app with the platform’s’ API
  • Work in upgrades while modifying existing software to improve performance
  • Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code
  • Code-review your teammates

Requirements

  • Have 5+ years of experience developing mobile applications
  • Proven work experience as a Mobile developer
  • Demonstrable portfolio of released applications on the App Store
  • Deep familiarity with Swift, as a true iOS Developer
  • Experience working with iOS frameworks such as Core Animation, Core Graphics, and Core Text
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
  • Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services
  • Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines
  • Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
  • Knack for benchmarking and optimization
  • Knowledge of low-level C-based libraries is preferred (BONUS)
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (For example Git)
  • Familiarity with continuous integration / continuous deployment / continuous development
  • A solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle and Objective-C is always nice to have
