Senior ISSO Security Analyst

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and drive the completion of Risk Management Framework (RMF) steps 0-6 ATO activities and requirements
• Identify and mitigate risks and escalate project risks to leadership
• Apply VA authorization policies and processes to ensure appropriate operational security posture
• Complete and maintain detailed security documentation for IT systems, networks, hardware, and software
• Translate security concepts into actionable implementable solution recommendations for IT deployments
• Act as an information security and RMF subject matter expert throughout the system lifecycle

Requirements

• Experience supporting all RMF steps, security categorizations, and FISMA security documents
• Experience with NIST SP 800-53 security controls and RMF processes
• Experience creating plans for secure product installation and risk mitigation strategies
• Experience analyzing authorization documents to identify gaps and coordinate remediation
• Ability to lead client-facing meetings and present complex ATO topics
• Ability to manage large amounts of discrete data across multiple systems
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or Electronics Engineering with 10+ years of IT experience, or 18+ years of IT experience in lieu of a degree

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Continuous Authorization and Monitoring (CAM)
• Experience working with the VA
• Experience supporting ATOs for specialized devices
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
