Senior Java Developer

Responsibilities

• Participate in an agile team to deliver the full software development lifecycle, including requirements, architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality code that performs efficiently to provide a great customer experience
• Incorporate standards and best practices for performance, security, scalability, and maintainability
• Update and maintain system design documents and provide feedback on functional and technical requirements
• Contribute to SDLC improvements using TDD, static code analysis, code reviews, and CI/CD
• Collaborate with solutions architects to ensure system design aligns with industry best practices and the Judiciary framework

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in enterprise-grade software development using Java/J2EE
• Expert level Java developer experience
• Proficiency with Perl
• Experience with Linux (Red Hat), JSP, Servlets, or JSF
• Experience with RESTful web services and Spring Framework
• Experience in automation of CI/CD pipelines
• SQL and data modeling experience with ORM tools like Hibernate/JPA
• Extensive experience in agile environments and using Git
• Knowledge of Federal IT security guidelines and Section 508 Accessibility

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Angular, Docker, and cloud-native applications
• Understanding of cloud architecture and security-minded design
