Senior Legal Counsel (Contracts)

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key legal partner to internal stakeholders, providing practical and commercially sound advice on contractual matters
• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a wide variety of agreements with counterparties across different jurisdictions
• Support the preparation and negotiation of term sheets, letters of intent, and final-form contracts
• Oversee the end-to-end contract process, including drafting, internal approvals, execution, and recordkeeping
• Advise business teams on the use of templates and contribute to their ongoing improvement
• Maintain well-structured legal records, including contract repositories and powers of attorney
• Conduct legal quality checks to ensure internal legal and compliance steps are completed accurately

Requirements

• Law degree (advanced legal degree is an advantage)
• 7+ years of relevant experience in contracts, legal operations, or corporate secretarial functions
• Experience in a reputable international company, multi-jurisdictional in-house environment, or leading law firm
• Strong knowledge of contract law principles and corporate governance across different jurisdictions
• Excellent contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills
• Ability to assess legal risk pragmatically and propose solutions aligned with business priorities
• Fluent Russian and English, both written and spoken
