Senior Linguist - Marketing & Life Sciences - Afrikaans

Responsibilities

• Translate and copy edit marketing, life sciences, and UI content from English into Afrikaans
• Ensure cultural nuance and localization accuracy for South African audiences
• Collaborate with project teams on multiple accounts and long-term programs
• Maintain quality standards across investigator-facing, patient-facing, and pharmacy materials

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of translation or copy editing experience in marketing or life sciences
• Native-level Afrikaans expertise with deep cultural understanding
• Professional proficiency in English (US/GB)
• Hands-on experience with CAT tools such as XTM, Trados, Smartling, or Phrase
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Translation degree preferred, or equivalent experience (3 years with other degree, 5 years without degree)
