Senior Linguist - Marketing & Life Sciences - Somali

Responsibilities

• Translate and localize marketing and life sciences content for Somali-speaking audiences
• Handle investigator-facing, patient-facing, and pharmacy materials with accuracy and cultural sensitivity
• Collaborate with project teams on multiple accounts and programs using CAT tools
• Ensure quality and consistency across all translated deliverables

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of translation experience in marketing or life sciences
• Native-level Somali with deep understanding of cultural nuances
• Professional proficiency in English (US/GB)
• Proficiency with CAT tools such as XTM, Phrase, Trados, or Smartling
• Working knowledge of MS Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Translation degree or equivalent certification
• Experience with Jira or Smartling platforms
• Background in medical, pharmaceutical, or healthcare localization
