Senior Linux Platform Integration Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Ubuntu integration for the latest IoT, desktop, and server-class hardware platforms
• Partner with silicon vendors to deliver an optimised, first-class Ubuntu experience on their platforms
• Lead technical customer engagements across complete cloud-to-edge system architectures
• Help partners integrate apps, SDKs, and build device OS images using Ubuntu Core, Desktop, and Server
• Contribute to technical plans, testing strategy, and quality metrics for partner platforms

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, STEM, or similar
• Experience with Linux packaging (Debian, RPM, Yocto)
• Experience working with open source communities and licences
• Proficiency in Python, C, and C++
• Ability to work effectively in a globally distributed team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with server technologies including UEFI firmware, GPU computing, RDMA/Infiniband, and virtualization stacks
• Familiarity with graphics stacks and networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, HTTP/REST)
• IoT and embedded experience across board, SoC, BMCs, bootloaders, and firmware
• Experience with CI automation platforms such as GitHub
• Performance benchmarking and profiling experience
• Familiarity with Docker/OCI containers and Kubernetes
