Senior Machine Learning Developer

Responsibilities

• Build, optimize, and embed machine learning models for on-device inference within the QSIDS detection engine
• Optimize models for performance and resource constraints, minimizing memory footprint, latency, and compute on-device
• Collaborate closely with systems engineers to integrate models efficiently into a Go-based engine
• Take models to production and own them post-deployment, monitoring performance and detecting drift
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define milestones and ensure timelines align with development needs
• Participate in discussions on technological choices and product development decisions
• Resolve anomalies and problems as they arise
• Stay updated on ML technologies and best practices
• Help onboard and train colleagues as the team grows
• Communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building and shipping machine learning models to production
• Proven track record of owning models post-deployment, including monitoring and iteration
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience embedding ML models for on-device inference
• Experience with high-performance, low-resource systems programming (Go or adjacent systems languages)
• Bilingual in French and English
• Experience working in a startup environment
• Master's degree or PhD in a technical field
