Senior Machine Learning Engineer

About the Company

Prophet Security is building an Agentic AI SOC Platform to automate complex security tasks. Founded by cybersecurity veterans from companies like Abnormal Security and Mandiant, the mission is to disrupt the security labor market by providing a force multiplier for security teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of the Agentic AI platform
• Use in-context learning, prompt engineering, and RAG to improve LLM performance on security tasks
• Shape machine learning architecture, making strategic decisions on model configurability, portability, and cost
• Design evaluation methodologies, metrics, and infrastructure to measure ML system performance
• Stay at the forefront of NLP/LLM research to explore new foundation models
• Establish comprehensive guardrails for safe and responsible LLM use

Requirements

• Proven track record of shipping LLM-powered products or features
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Understanding of foundation model APIs, context engineering, and fine-tuning techniques
• Prior experience building machine learning or NLP systems
• Ability to write production-grade code and design scalable engineering systems
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical collaboration

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with agentic architecture and tool-calling systems
• Experience with LLM-based code generation or Text2SQL
• Experience building custom frameworks for LLM interactions or fine-tuning
• Publications or Open-Source contributions related to LLMs
• Experience with Go
